Garrett Niekro of the Cubs has started the season with 17 consecutive scoreless innings, after this morning's 2-0 eight inning win versus Louisville. This follows up his opening day shutout victory over Wichita. When asked about his Cy Young chances, Garrett responded: "I have a great team behind me. If they keep playing like this, anything is possible. Our focus is on the World Series, not individual awards."
